Mrs. Chao oversees corporate finance, fund operations, and is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Breakthrough Properties. Prior to joining Breakthrough, Mrs. Chao was the Senior Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management and managed fund accounting and operations for various strategies, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Special Situations strategy groups. She has over 20 years of experience in the Financial service industry focusing in Fund accounting in the private equity/alternative/real estate space. Prior to joining Breakthrough, she has led several initiatives in her previous role to implement and/or streamline accounting operations and to strategically transform client reporting process. Mrs. Chao has an MBA from University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Southern California. She is a Certified Public Accountant in California.
